BESA is the premier trade association representing the best
interests of those operating within the built environment,
supporting members to maintain and grow their business.
The Directors attended meetings with Paul Uppal MP and ‘The Brexit Panel’ to discuss many issues including the various outcomes of the Brexit negotiations and some VAT practices and it’s influence on businesses such as Alba Facilities Services.
Ian and Douglas also attended workshops “Fire Safety – Meeting the Hackitt Review” and “FM requirements Post Grenfell”. The outcomes of these included improved installation and inspection of works undertaken by contractors, better design, improved material testing, legislation to restrict potentially dangerous materials being installed and the buildings in which we work, sleep and play should see a huge improvement in the coming years.
A fantastic and informative trip which has brought new inspiration back to the office.
